Lourdes Terraza
Guatemala, 1974.
Inicié estudios de arte en la Escuela de Pintura para niños y niñas de Aldeas Infantiles SOS. en Quetzaltenango, Guatemala entre 1982-83.
Desde pequeña me gustaba dibujar en la escuela, en casa, en cualquier papel que encontraba, en las paredes, en la arena del mar.
Más adelante ingresé en la Escuela Regional de Arte Humberto Garavito en la misma ciudad en los años 1994-1999. Ya en esa época participé en varias exposiciones colectivas y personales y obtuve algún premio a nivel local y nacional.
En el año 2000 me trasladé a vivir a Iruña/Pamplona, NA., donde además de haber asistido a la Escuela de Artes y Oficios, participé en varias exposiciones colectivas y personales.
También formé parte de otros proyectos artísticos junto a otrxs creadorxs, como Dormitalería 54 y Jazar, tanto en socialización del arte como laboratorio de creación.
En 2017 volví a Guatemala, donde sigo observando, experimentando, creando y mostrando mi trabajo.
Actualmente vivo y trabajo en La Antigua Guatemala.
I began studying art at the School of Painting for children SOS. in , Quetzaltenango, Guatemala from 1982-83. Since childhood I liked to draw, at school, at home,in the walls, in whatever role I met, in the beach sand.
Later
I joined the Regional School of Art Humberto Garavito in the same
city in the years 1994-1999. Already at that time participated in
several group exhibitions and personal and got any awards locally and
nationally.
In
2000 I moved to live in Iruña/Pamplona, NA., where in addition to
having attended the School of Arts and Crafts, I participated in
collective and personal exhibitions.
I was also part of other artistic projects together with other creators, such as Dormitalería 54 and Jazar, both in the socialization of art and as a creation laboratory.
In 2017 I returned to Guatemala with another projects.
I currently live and work in La Antigua Guatemala.
